Dr. Shiroz (Rose) Virani was born in Kampala, Uganda (East Africa). She immigrated to the U.S.A. as refugee in 1972 and did elementary through high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Science degree in Optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1988. At the University of Houston, Dr. Virani was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society in 1983 and received the Distinguished Student Award in 1982. Dr. Virani has been practicing optometry since 1988 and is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr Virani is a board member of the Harris County Optometric Society , a committee member on the Texas Optometric Association Board, and a member of the American Optometric Association. She also serves as a board member of several Texas State Optical committees.
Dr Virani has 2 children . Her son is finishing his degree in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech, and her daughter is finishing high school in Ft Bend. Dr Virani and her husband are the owners of the TSO , and when not working, they are either committed to church activities or travelling with their children.
