Rose Virani, OD

Dr. Shiroz (Rose) Virani was born in Kampala, Uganda (East Africa). She immigrated to the U.S.A. as refugee in 1972 and did elementary through high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelors of Science degree in Optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1988. At the University of Houston, Dr. Virani was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society in 1983 and received the Distinguished Student Award in 1982. Dr. Virani has been practicing optometry since 1988 and is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr Virani is a board member of the Harris County Optometric Society , a committee member on the Texas Optometric Association Board, and a member of the American Optometric Association. She also serves as a board member of several Texas State Optical committees.

Dr Virani has 2 children . Her son is finishing his degree in Industrial Engineering at Georgia Tech, and her daughter is finishing high school in Ft Bend. Dr Virani and her husband are the owners of the TSO , and when not working, they are either committed to church activities or travelling with their children.

Lori Valdez

Optician

Lori Valdez joined our practice in July 2009. She is an Optical Technician, who has several years of retail experience. Lori is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Connie Bautista

Connie Bautista has been with our office since October 2008. She is our Optometric Assistant and our Contact Lens Technician. She is very fluent in English and Spanish. Connie's smile and fun loving personality keeps the office lively and upbeat.

Lisa Jackson

Lisa Jackson has been with this practice since January 2008. She is our Front Desk Coordinator who specializes in insurance verification for new and returning patients. She recently completed training as a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist from Everest Institute in Houston.

Laura Santos

Laura Santos has been with our practice since April of 2007. She is our Billing and Coding Specialist. Laura has experience as a trained Optician, and is also very fluent in English and Spanish.

Leslie Meyer

Leslie Meyer has been with our practice since June 2007 after moving here from Galveston were she previously worked at Dr. Kevin Katz's office. She is currently enrolled to complete a Bachelor of Health Science, and is hoping to attend the University of Houston School of Optometry. She is an ABO Certified Optician.

Olga Cabrera

Receptionist

Olga originally joined our office in February of 2007, after a short maternity break, she returned in August 2009. Olga is very fluent in Spanish and English and can also help with all your contact lens needs.She is crossed trained throughout our entire office.

Sandra Robles

Assistant Manager

Sandra Robles has been with the office since January 2006. She is an Optical Technician and also our Assistant Manager. She completed training as a Medical Assistant from the National Institute of Technology in June of 2005. She is very fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Tara Bailey O.D.

Optometrist

Dr. Tara Bailey, O.D. joined our office in August of 2009. She is a 2009 graduate of The University of Houston School of Optometry. Dr. Bailey provides quality care with a personal touch.
